Have you tried the install again and are you still having a communication failure?  We have recently changed it to an upgraded server, so please let us know if you're having issues and what the exact message is.

did you try disabling your fire wall temporarily or try one of the other download methods?

I just tested it again and it seems to be working here. So sorry you're still having problems. Not sure what's wrong.

I would try downloading it to another computer in a different network like your home computer or a friends computer. If that works then your computer or network system may have connectivity issues.

But getting back to the subject of the update, is there an automated way of updating the serial number? I have several to do across the firm.

If I have a computer where Vasari Beta 3 with the old serial number was uninstalled, installing it again with the new serial number does not recognize the new time extension. So, you have to then go to the Help->About to update it (even though it shows the current serial number as the new one). An install onto a computer that never had Vasari works fine going through the verifying license step when you start it. So what is not getting deleted off the computer during an uninstall that makes Vasari still think it is on the old license? What can I delete to make it go through the verifying license step?

Here is the response to the question from our licensing team:

Since the product with the same license was installed on the machine and license was already activated, uninstall/reinstall the product with the same license, will not erase the license, it will still stay on the machine, so when reinstalling product with the same license (doesn’t matter what serial number), product will find existing license and will use it, the only way to get a new license, is get to product information dialog and reactivate it, however if license for the previous product did expire, then on firs launch reactivation will happen silently.
